The Ulysse Nardin Freak X is one of the most unconventional watches in modern haute horology. It has no traditional dial and no hands. The central bridge acts as the minute hand, and a wheel in the movement indicates the hours. This reference, 2303-270.1/BLACK, presents it in an all-black colorway with red accents.
The case measures 43mm and is black DLC coated titanium, with a matching titanium bezel, a sapphire crystal and a sapphire open case back. Water resistance is 50 meters. The openworked black dial layout carries Super-LumiNova hour markers. Inside is the self-winding caliber UN-230, a flying carrousel that makes one revolution every hour. It has a silicium balance wheel, 21 jewels, a 21,600 vph beat rate and a 72 hour power reserve. The watch is on a black calfskin strap with red accents and a folding buckle.
