Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Black Magic 601.CI.0173.RX

The Spirit of Big Bang Black Magic ref. 601.CI.0173.RX is Hublot's tonneau-shaped take on the Big Bang idea, built as a skeletonized automatic chronograph in an all-black ceramic case. The black and red skeleton dial lets you see the chronograph mechanism at work, and the red accents against the black ceramic are what give this version its name and its look.

The case is microblasted black ceramic and measures 45mm. The fixed microblasted black ceramic bezel is secured by six H-shaped titanium screws, and a transparent case back shows the movement. The skeletonized sapphire dial carries luminous hands and indices. It has a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock, small seconds at 9 o'clock and a date window between 4 and 5 o'clock. The crystal is sapphire with anti-reflective treatment. Inside is the self-winding Hublot HUB4700 chronograph caliber with a power reserve of approximately 50 hours, and water resistance is 100 meters. It sits on a black structured lined rubber strap with a black-plated titanium deployant buckle.
